Some people wildcraft herbs, others concentrate on mushrooms, others collect hobby materials, and still others collect edibles from the wild.

There are rules to wildcrafting. Read them carefully. Follow them religiously. If we all do our part, wildcrafting will be an activity in which our descendants happily engage.
